Expansion of the production facilities at the Tver factory
South Korean company Orion has been present in Russia’s food market for more than 30 years, with its first deliveries beginning in as far as 1993. Over this period, Choco Pie and Choco Boy, among the first Orion products to appear on the shelves, have become highly recognizable brands and earned a firm place in the hearts of Russian consumers.
The company continues dynamic development, expanding its product range and offering customers new flavors and formats. Today, Orion’s portfolio includes products like Choco Boy Safari, Gouté, Bungo, Jelly Boy, Crack It, Fresh Pie, and other popular confectionery items. Alongside assortment development, the company consistently invests in expanding its production capacity.
The construction of a modern plant operated by Orion International Euro LLC, where the foundation stone was laid on 9 September 2020, was a major milestone. The investment in the project exceeded 5 billion rubles, 355 jobs were created, and the new facility covered an area of 42,467 m² — four times larger than the company’s very first plant.
The choice of sites located near the M-10 «Russia» federal highway has provided the enterprise with convenient logistics and broad opportunities for further development of its supply network. The highway runs through Moscow, Tver, Novgorod, and Leningrad regions, making the production site strategically advantageous.
The next stage of development will be a construction of another plant in Tver, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027. New production facility will enable Orion to further increase capacities, implement advanced technological solutions, and improve production efficiency. As a result, the company will be able to respond to growing demand quicker, expand its confectionery range, and provide consumers with high-quality products in even greater volumes.
Construction of the new plant is also important for the region. This project will create additional jobs, contribute to the development of industrial infrastructure, an increase in freight turnover, and higher tax revenues. For Tver and the Tver Region, it will be a great contribution to economic development, while for Orion, it will serve as confirmation of its long-term plans and confidence in the potential of the Russian confectionery market.
