About Orion. Russia

Russian consumers got to know Orion products after the collapse of the USSR. Already in 1993 residents of the Far East tasted Choco Pie, a world-famous pie introduced in South Korea in 1974.

In 1996 the company's office was opened in Moscow, and residents of the capital and the entire western part of Russia were able to buy the well-liked pie for the first time.

An official representative office ‘Orion Food Russia’ (Orion Pishcheprom, LLC) was opened in 2003, and in 2004 the production of the most favorite childhood treat, Choco Boy sweet mushrooms, was launched at a test factory in Zvenigorod. Such localization allowed us to explore the taste preferences of Russians and find our own "Russian taste" for products. Already in 2007, just a year after the first factory in Tver was opened, the company began exporting products to the CIS- countries. Because of great popularity among consumers, in 2008 Orion opened a factory in Novosibirsk to provide products not only to the entire eastern part of Russia, but also to Central Asia.

Orion products in Russia include Choco Pie, Choco Boy, Choco Boy Safari, Gouté, Crack it, Choco Chip and Mr. Bagetti, which are produced at local factories in Tver and Novosibirsk, as well as drinking volcanic water from Jeju-island, imported from South Korea. Both factories are certified according to the international standard FSSC 22000.
